Bournemouth Airport Expansion Update

Pascall+Watson is pleased to share the latest on Bournemouth Airport’s significant expansion, driven by growing passenger and freight demands.
Following successful receipt of planning consent, the overarching project will consolidate arrivals and departures into a single, enhanced terminal, delivering more than 3,600m² of additional floor space in a phased development aligned with demand growth.

The project has already reached its first significant milestone with the opening of a brand-new immigration hall, marking progress in the airport’s ongoing investment to support growth. This stage has also enabled a reconfiguration of the existing arrivals building to provide a significant expansion of baggage reclaim capacity.

Future phases will focus on delivering additional capacity to the departures area to include a new Security Hall and enhanced retail and food & beverage areas. Additional gate areas and upgraded toilets and ancillary passenger welfare areas meeting new standards also form part of the scheme.

This expansion reinforces Bournemouth Airport’s commitment to delivering improved passenger experiences, greater operational efficiency, and robust growth potential for years to come.
