Our Practice Sustainability Strategy is founded on our Six Sustainability Pillars which have been influenced by the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
From these 17 SDGs, RIBA has identified nine as best aligning with the construction industry, and we have used 11 of these to identify the areas that we as architects and designers of the built environment have direct influence over.
Each of our Six Sustainability Pillars gives direction to a solution based approach that provides guidance to the design team for proactively reducing both embodied and operational carbon during the design process.
