Manchester Airport Transformation Recognised by the 58th Structural Steel Design Awards

The Manchester Airport Transformation project has been recognised by the 58th Structural Steel Design Awards (SSDA), jointly sponsored by BCSA and Steel for Life.

Since 1969, the awards have celebrated exemplary steelwork projects across the UK and Ireland, recognising excellence in design, innovation and delivery.

This recognition highlights the scale, ambition and technical quality of the Manchester Airport Transformation, as well as the important role structural steel has played in helping create a modern, efficient and future-ready airport environment.

The Structural Steel Design Awards continue to champion projects that demonstrate the long-term value of steel in construction, from quality and adaptability to sustainability and performance. For a landmark infrastructure project such as Manchester Airport Transformation, this acknowledgement marks an important milestone.

The winners of the 58th Structural Steel Design Awards will be announced on 17 September at Landing Forty Two.
