Our Graduate Series wrapped up a successful year, showcasing eight presentations that highlighted the diverse research and innovative thinking within our graduate community. From algorithm-aided design to cultural heritage exploration, the 2025 sessions demonstrated the breadth of interests and expertise among our emerging architects.

The variety of topics was truly impressive. We heard about sustainable infrastructure reuse, urban greening challenges, and climate action through design. Muctarr Deen-Swarray took us on a fascinating journey through Freetown’s architectural identity, while others explored how technology can reshape architectural practice. Each presentation brought something unique to the table, sparking valuable discussions across our teams.

"The Graduate Series gave me the confidence to present my work to a wider audience. The questions I received helped me think about my research from new angles and consider how it might apply to different contexts."

The impact of these sessions goes beyond just sharing research. Graduates gained confidence presenting to experienced colleagues, while cross-practice discussions generated new approaches to design challenges.

At Pascall+Watson, we’re committed to nurturing and celebrating the next generation of architects. Our graduates and students bring fresh ideas, creativity, and innovation to the practice, shaping the future of our industry. The Graduate Series provides a platform for these emerging voices to share their passion while contributing to practice-wide learning and development.

The 2025 series proved once again that when we create space for fresh perspectives, real innovation happens. We look forward to seeing what new ideas and research our graduate community will bring in the future.

"It is always a good feeling to share your work when you are surrounded by a supportive team. Earlier this week I had the opportunity to share my final year Masters project with my colleagues at Pascall+Watson, while also listing the benefits of the L7 Apprenticeship scheme, and the impact it had on my career so far."
