Connolly Quarter Development
The urban renewal of Dublin’s Connolly Quarter provides a catalyst for the sustainable regeneration of this part of the city
As part of a strategic plan to regenerate Dublin’s Connolly Quarter, Pascall+Watson designed and co-ordinated a major mixed-use development to form one of the main focal points. The scheme includes residential, commercial, community and leisure accommodation as well as a bus and coach terminus to provide connectivity to the rest of the city.
The design integrates the partially elevated 3.5-hectare site, which lies to the east of Connolly Station, into the fabric of the urban realm and establishes links to the North Wall community and City Centre. Carefully selected materials and sustainable construction techniques have been considered to deliver a minimal environmental footprint.
Adjacent to the main scheme, a series of protected railway structures have been revitalised and given a new lease of life.
The design for the Connolly Quarter development offers a new landmark addition to the city of Dublin.
