Pascall+Watson collaborated with Atkins and Areen Design to design and deliver the new £5.1bn terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, which is due to commence initial operations in May.
The 810,000m² state-of-the-art passenger terminal and ancillary buildings will increase the airport’s capacity to 30 million passengers each year.
As the entry point to Jeddah and the Holy City of Mecca, the airport expansion is key to meeting the demand from religious tourism.
As part of our ongoing association with the airport, Pascall+Watson have recently been appointed to develop the wayfinding design across the airport, including the associated rail and road transportation facilities.
