Pascall+Watson have designed and delivered the new Film & Media Centre at the University for the Creative Arts, in Farnham.
The 1,000m² building accommodates students studying performing arts, film and music composition utilising a multitude of advanced technological equipment.
Facilities include a black box film studio, a 260-seat lecture theatre, rehearsal and performance spaces and an acoustically sealed recording studio featuring a live room, dubbing theatre and control room.
The project complements our long-standing relationship and portfolio of work with the university and represents the next stage of their campus-wide masterplan.
Tim Savage, UCA’s Academic Development Planning Manager, commented:
“Pascall+Watson worked closely with UCA to evolve and realise the design of the Film & Media Centre through interpreting dynamic client requirements and offering creative solutions. Their design combines innovative and flexible learning spaces with sector-leading technological environments representative of the creative industries that we are preparing our students for”
