Bergen Bybanen LRT, Bybanen Utbygging

Pascall+Watson are providing architectural and landscape architecture for Phase 3 of the Bergen Bybanen Light Rail transport system in Norway.

The system serves the city of Bergen which, with a population of approximately 400,000, is the second largest in Norway and forms a core part of Bergen’s 20 year programme for transport, urban development and the environment.

Extending the line from Radal to the airport at Flesland Phase 3 comprises 7.2km of new double track, seven stops including a transport interchange and multi-storey car parking structure at Birkelandsskiftet and the airport terminus, 2.8km of tunnel and a landmark bridge spanning the airport road.

Pascall+Watson’s role included responsibility for submitting all statutory applications to the local authority.
