Connolly Quarter Development, CIE Property
A multi-disciplinary team led by Pascall+Watson designed a fully co-ordinated mixed-use scheme for a major urban renewal project at Connolly Station in Dublin.
Extensive engagement with the Planning Department during the early design stages was instrumental in easing the project through the approvals process, with no third party objections or onerous conditions.
The partially elevated 3.5-hectare site lies to the east of Connolly Station. Its strategic location makes it an ideal focus for the sustainable regeneration of this part of Dublin. High quality design and sustainable construction techniques enhance the area’s built environment, with protected structures being repurposed and given a new lease of life.
The design integrates the site into the fabric of the city, establishing links to the North Wall community and the City Centre, and provides much-needed housing, live/work units, high quality office accommodation, retail, leisure, community and cultural space on the edge of the established International Financial Services Centre.
