London Luton Airport, RedevelopmentLondon Luton Airport

Pascall+Watson have developed the design for the significant extension and refurbishment of existing facilities at London Luton Airport, to increase its capacity from 12mppa to 18mppa by 2031.

Our designs provide additional capacity to the security, immigration and arrivals areas, baggage hall and departures lounge, whilst also improving the terminal’s seating facilitates and passenger circulation. Proposals for reconfigured retail and commercial areas provide a large walk-through facility with rationalised internal layouts to ensure the most efficient space use. In addition, a 2-storey extension at the front of the existing terminal was also designed, along with a new pier (Pier B) to service the airports predicted growth.

These works, once complete, will enhance the terminal building by bringing together the various existing elements into a single cohesive structure, forming a focal point within the central terminal area.
