Pascall+Watson architects concept for the refurbishment of the main retail areas in Terminal 1 was to utilise common place High Street themes within the airport. Consequently the 'street' with its parade of shops has an artificial sky and exterior street lamps. The redevelopment took just twenty weeks to construct and has increased income dramatically.
