Blackfriars Station

The new Thameslink 2000 Blackfriars Station proposals provide for a significantly enhanced new station facility over the River Thames. The proposed works at Blackfriars Station for Network Rail involves the reconstruction of the North Bank Station, providing for a seamless interchange between overground and underground stations. The project includes a covered rail bridge extending the passenger platforms out over the River Thames, and a new South Bank Station entrance serving Southwark and the Tate Modern.
