Dublin Airport, Terminal 2
Pascall+Watson architects, working in a multi-disciplinary design team alongside Arup and Mace, are currently designing a new Terminal at Dublin Airport for DAA. The designs, provide for a new 75,000m sq Terminal building, adjacent to the existing Terminal 1, and a 400 metre long 24,000m sq new Pier and airfield remodelling works accommodating up to 19 new aircraft stands. Development of a new Terminal, Pier and Frontage Road system will cater for 10-15 million passengers per annum, delivering sufficient capacity to meet the minimum demands at that time. The design makes access routes and passenger flows as intuitive and self evident as possible incorporating clear lines of sight and logical directional flows, to help to guide people through the building.
