Work commences on London Bridge StationNovember 2010
Work has now commenced on the new Concourse Building at London Bridge Station that Pascall+Watson have been developing with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, architects for the Shard Tower.
With a fully glazed roof and main entrance facade this new station building will radically improve the station's ambience to the terminating platform area and will provide a new 45-metre long 'gateline' housing 40 ticket gates, considered to be the longest single 'gateline' in the UK. Costing around £24m, this new building along with the Shard Tower, is being constructed by MACE on behalf of Sellar Properties. Completion is anticipated in 2012.
