Blackfriars Station Redevelopment Shortlisted for RIBA Awards 2014April 2014
The Thameslink Programme works required the full redevelopment of all areas of the existing station. The station has been rebuilt on a widened Victorian rail bridge, creating the only station in London to span the River Thames giving passengers unrivalled views over London whilst providing access to both north and south banks.
We will find out if the project has won a Regional Award at the awards ceremony in London, on the 6 May. Regional winners will then be put forward for the RIBA National Awards. Those collecting National Awards will then be considered for the 2014 RIBA Stirling Prize.
